THREE WAYS TO CHARGE
The i-MiEV's sophisticated battery pack is designed to make charging easier than ever. You have three convenient options:

Mitsubishi battery technology affords many advantages:
- The onboard charger automatically adapts between 120V (8A) and 240V (15A) charging sources.
- EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) technology lets the i-MiEV communicate with the charging source to assure a safe, proper charge level.
- Regardless of charging source, your fleet drivers can take advantage of the i-MiEV's ample range—with an EPA rating of 62 miles† per charge.
- A sophisticated cooling system automatically engages to protect the battery from overheating during charging.
* Charging times will vary by amperage and other electrical conditions. Charging times as they appear are approximations.
† Based upon various EPA testing methods using different driving conditions and climate controls; the EPA rated the i-MiEV with a driving range of 62 miles per charge. Actual range will vary depending on driving/charging habits, speed, conditions, weather, temperature, and battery age. Mitsubishi Motors has partnered with Rogers Electric (
www.lrogerselectric.com), one of the country's leading electrical service providers, to create a national network of fleet charging stations. Rogers Electric will install and maintain charging stations at Mitsubishi dealerships across the country.
As the i-MiEV and other electric vehicles begin to hit the U.S. market, Rogers Electric is actively involved in the support of fleets and all other end users to create a charging strategy tailored to the specific needs of each company.

While some electric vehicles adapt third-party battery technology, the i-MiEV's power source is Mitsubishi all the way. To ensure world-class performance, we initiated a joint venture between GS Yuasa, Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Motors to create a dedicated company called Lithium Energy Japan. The goal was to engineer a high-performance lithium-ion battery specifically for the i-MiEV.
It worked. Our custom battery pack is composed of 88 cells that are installed under the i-MiEV's floorboard. This advanced technology delivers everything you need in a green fleet vehicle: long life, responsive power, easy charging and great range. Oh, and Mitsubishi quality, of course.
