The Manufacturing Division of Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA), in Normal, Il, currently assembles the Eclipse sports coupe, Eclipse Spyder convertible, Galant mid-size sedan and Endeavor crossover utility vehicle, which together account for approximately half of MMNA's passenger car sales in the U.S.
Established in 1985, MMNA Mfg. employs more than 1,300 people. In 2009, employees will proudly celebrate production of the 3,000,000th vehicle to roll off the assembly line since the first cars were built in 1988.
The Normal facility is one of the most technologically advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world. It is designed to accommodate the production of several different models intermixed on one assembly line. Approximately 600 robots are housed in the more than 2.1 million square-foot facility on 636 acres in central Illinois. The facility is separated into five different shops: Stamping, Plastics, Body, Paint and Trim/Final Assembly.

Manufacturing Division employees are also committed to building world-class vehicles in an environmentally responsible manner and in 2001, the plant received ISO 14001 certification, a global environmental quality process standard.
