Picture never using a gas pump or worrying about the price of oil again. That you could fill your car's tank simply by plugging it in before you settle down for dinner. You might have seen electric cars before, but you've never seen anything like the Mitsubishi i-MiEV.

| Mitsubishi's aggressive style and small-car building prowess are combined with groundbreaking technology to bring you a vehicle that comfortably seats four and emits no CO² emissions while operating. Many car companies are working toward reducing their carbon emissions — we're going to drop them altogether.

| Based on the gasoline-driven 660cc "i" minicar, the i-MiEV costs one-third less to drive the same distance during the daytime as a gasoline-powered vehicle. It achieves this through some true technological marvels. By combining a large-capacity lithium-ion battery with a compact high-performance electric motor, the i-MiEV leaves hybrids in its CO² emission-free dust. And because it's completely electric, this very powerful engine is surprisingly quiet.

| The i-MiEV is designed to offer a large enough charge for daily use as well as Mitsubishi power performance for sports-like driving. And for those long family trips, the i-MiEV includes an on-board charger, which allows you to charge your vehicle anywhere there is a 110-volt plug. Never worry about finding a gas station again because all you need is an outlet. So power up and get ready for the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Mitsubishi's futuristic car will be available in Japan in 2009 and is currently being evaluated for the U.S. market.
