Safety and Warranty

2011 Endeavor

We built the Endeavor around the idea of ‘active safety' – that your vehicle should help you to avoid an accident as well as protect you when one cannot be avoided. A unibody platform, a flex-resistant chassis with reinforced steel door beams, energy-absorbing crumple zones, and many more safety features make the Endeavor's active safety systems one of your best friends.

Active Stability Control with Traction Control
Standard for Endeavor, Active Stability with Traction Control helps drivers maintain control in adverse driving conditions and during emergency maneuvers. Employing a series of sensors, ASC constantly monitors available traction and alerts the control unit, which works with the vehicle's anti-lock braking system to counteract slipping or loss of control by applying the brakes on specific wheels to help keep the vehicle moving in the driver's intended direction.
Advanced Airbag System*
Endeavor comes standard with advanced dual-stage front airbags and front and rear curtain airbags* for all trim levels.
Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)
The ABS technology used by the Endeavor helps to eliminate wheel lock-up during panic or emergency braking. Wheel speed is monitored and braking pressure is optimized when impending wheel lock-up is sensed. The system “pulses” the brakes up to 10 times per second, modulating wheel rotation to help eliminate lock-up and maximize driver control.
LATCH System
Lower anchors and tethers for children (LATCH) help simplify the attachment of child safety seats; making it easier for you to help keep your child safe.
Seatbelts and Pretensioners
Every Mitsubishi is equipped with a three-point seatbelt and head restraints, plus front seatbelt pretensioners that are designed to help tighten the belts in certain frontal impacts so the seatbelts can better do their job. Seatbelt force limiters help the front seatbelts and airbags* work together optimally and are standard on every Endeavor.
