8 YEARS/100,000-MILE
MAIN DRIVE BATTERY WARRANTY

One of the first questions people tend to have about electric cars is, "How long will the battery last?" Well, we're happy to report that great strides have been made in battery technology over the years since the first EV appeared. As a result, we can back our power source with a transferable 8-year/100,000-mile limited warranty.

6 AIRBAGS

Standard on the i-MiEV, this advanced six-airbag system3 includes two dual-stage supplemental front airbags, front side airbags, and front/rear roof-mounted curtain airbags that help protect your head in the event of a side-impact collision. Because when it comes to safety, we've got your back. And your front. And everything else.

RISE BODY CONSTRUCTION

The Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body in the i-MiEV features a unique shape and strategic crumple zones that helps absorb and reroute the energy away from the passenger cabin during certain types of impact. Because protecting you when you need it most is worth its weight in safety.

ACTIVE STABILITY CONTROL

Active Stability Control (ASC) employs sensors that monitor the grip of each tire. If the wheels begin to slip, the system communicates with the anti-lock brake system to apply the brakes to the wheels with the most traction.

3 Airbags are part of a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). To decrease the risk of injury from a deploying airbag, always wear your seat belt, sit upright in the middle of the seat and do not lean against the door. Always place children 12 and under in the rear seat and use appropriate child restraints. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat. See your owner's manual and the instructions provided with your child restraint for additional information.
