Rearview camera system
When you shift in reverse, the standard rearview camera system2 provides a wide-angle view behind the vehicle, helping you safely back out of a driveway and making it easier to fit into tight parking spots.
Active Stability Control System
Active Stability Control3 (ASC) employs a series of sensors that constantly monitor the grip of each tire. If a wheel begins to slip, ASC automatically communicates with the Anti-lock Braking System to help you maintain control of the vehicle in just about any situation.
7 airbag safety system
In addition to six standard airbags4 - including front, front seat-mounted, and side-curtain airbags - Mirage adds a seventh, underneath the driver's side dashboard. It's designed to stabilize your lower body during certain frontal collisions, providing an extra level of protection.
From standard LED taillights to available fog lights and HID headlights, the Mitsubishi Mirage cuts through darkness and fog, and looks good doing it.
RISE body construction
Mitsubishi's Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body utilizes crumple zones that help route and absorb energy during high-impact collisions. Strategic reinforcements at key body points complement its side-impact door beams, giving your Mitsubishi a stable, secure base.

2 The rearview camera system is a driver aid only and is not a substitute for visual confirmation. The view on the screen is limited and objects outside that view will not be seen.
3 Safety is a two-way street; it requires your attention and cooperation. Please remember to fasten your seat belt, drive responsibly and obey all traffic laws.
4 Airbags are part of a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). To decrease the risk of injury from a deploying airbag, always wear your seat belt, sit upright in the middle of the seat and do not lean against the door. Always place children 12 and under in the rear seat and use appropriate child restraints. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat. See your owner's manual and the instructions provided with your child restraint for additional information.
