We're fast approaching kickoff for the 2019 Las Vegas Bowl, proudly sponsored by Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) for the second year running.

History of the Las Vegas Bowl:

The Las Vegas Bowl first kicked off on Dec. 18, 1992. It has since become one of the Silver State's premier annual events and been nationally televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC every year of its existence.

Of the 39 bowl games recognized by the NCAA, the Las Vegas Bowl is now the 16th-oldest game overall and ranks 13th in age on a list of current bowls that have remained in one city during their entire history.

When can I watch the game?

The 2019 Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl event will be taking place on December 21st, 2019 at 4:30 PM PT, 6:30 PM CT and 7:30 PM ET. The game will be televised nationally during primetime on ABC for the seventh consecutive year.

Where is the Las Vegas Bowl taking place?

The 28th Las Vegas Bowl marks this event's swan song in the Sam Boyd Stadium, with next year's edition taking place at the future home of the Raiders franchise-Allegiant Stadium in Paradise.

Held every December since 1992, the Las Vegas Bowl has boasted sold-out attendance for eight of the last 13 years at Sam Boyd Stadium, including the second-largest team sporting event crowd in state history of 42,213 people in 2015.

Who are this year's participants?

As the Pac-12 and Western Mountain Conference seasons are well underway, we're getting closer to discovering our 2019 Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl finalists, with the 2019 Western Mountain Conference champions to face off against the Pac-12's chosen team.

This year's Las Vegas Bowl will play host to the last of the Western Mountain Conference finalists, as games starting in 2020 will feature teams from the Pac-12 pitted against a Big Ten or SEC side.

How did last year's Las Vegas Bowl play out?

Last year's edition saw a well-fought clash of the conferences, as Fresno State (Mountain West) triumphed 31-20 over Arizona State (PAC-12 South), with 37,146 fans in attendance.
