Because there's no such thing as 'too safe'.

Rain-Sensing Wipers

Keep your hands on the wheel during inclement weather with the available rain-sensing windshield wipers. Activating at the first drop of rain, the wipers adjust to match the frequency of rainfall so you can continue to focus on what's ahead.

Blind Spot Warning and Lane Change Assist

Available Blind Spot Warning and Lane Change Assist3 systems alert you when a vehicle is in or approaching your blind spot. When a vehicle is traveling at the same speed or faster in the detection areas, a warning light illuminates in the corresponding side mirror. If your turn signal is on, the warning light on the corresponding mirror blinks and the system then beeps three times to signify it is unsafe to change lanes.

Adaptive Cruise Control

The available Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)5 system uses radar technology to judge distances between you and the vehicle ahead, helping you maintain a safe driving distance. If the car moves out of your lane or goes beyond your set speed, the system will resume your set speed.

Multi-View Camera System

This available feature displays what's seen by cameras mounted on the front, rear and sides of the vehicle. Front, side, bird's-eye and rearview camera perspectives can be shown in various combinations on the Eclipse Cross's touchscreen, helping you park or back up more safely.6

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

The available Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)3 system detects a vehicle approaching from either side while you're backing up. The warning lights on both side mirrors will blink, a buzzer will sound to alert you, and a warning message will appear on the information screen of the multi-information color display.

RISE Body Construction

Mitsubishi's advanced Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body utilizes crumple zones that help route and absorb energy during high-impact collisions. Strategic reinforcements at key body points complement its side-impact door beams, giving your Eclipse Cross a stable, secure base that's worth its weight in safety.

Fog Lights and LED Running Lights

When fog descends, when it snows or rains, the standard fog lights beam through to help you get a clearer view of the road ahead. Stand out even more with LED headlights that offer distinctive style and increased visibility.

Forward Collision Mitigation with High Speed Braking Capabilities

The available Forward Collision Mitigation with High Speed Braking Capability (FCM-HSB) system7 provides an additional safety measure by functioning at higher speeds than standard Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) system and mitigating more immediate dangers. FCM-HSB works in tandem with the Eclipse Cross' high-speed braking capability; braking systems are automatically applied when a risk of collision is detected, slowing your car to avoid or reduce the severity of potential collisions.

2 The Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) with Pedestrian Detection system is a driver aid only and is not a substitute for safe and careful driving. Under certain circumstances, the system may not detect other vehicles and/or pedestrians correctly.

3 The Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert systems are driver aids only and are not substitutes for safe and careful driving. Under certain circumstances, these systems may not detect other vehicles correctly.

4 The Lane Departure Warning system is designed to read the lane marks under certain conditions. It is not a collision avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and careful driving.

5 The Adaptive Cruise Control system is not a collision avoidance system or an automatic driving system. It is designed to use only limited braking and is never a substitute for safe and careful driving. Never rely solely on the Adaptive Cruise Control system.

6 The Multi-View Camera system is a driver aid only and is not a substitute for visual confirmation. The view on the screen is limited and objects outside that view will not be seen.

7 High-Speed Forward Collision Mitigation and high-speed braking capabilities are only available on SEL Touring Package.
